Jenn, I like what you say about trying to control as a means of actually losing control. I had a harsh lesson about that yesterday, as I needed to ask for help regarding an issue and it took rather extreme discomfort on my part before I broke down and was honest with myself (& others) about needing the help. Afterward, I realized just how silly I was being by trying to maintain my carefully built facade of complete control. It really is exhausting and a lot of unnecessary stress results from it. So not worth it. Thank you for this post! :-)
When you stop and think about it, there is tremendous strength and courage in asking for help. Just look at how hard it can be as shown with your example. Was it you that told me we're all works in progress? :)
